Position Overview

As an Automotive Finance Manager Trainee, you will be responsible for managing sales activities, including generating and managing sales leads. This role provides a clear career path toward becoming a Finance Manager within our sales organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers on the sales floor and perform needs analysis based on vehicle desired.
  • Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operation both in the showroom and on the road.
  • Research vehicle availability and optional equipment using computer databases.
  • Collaborate with Sales and F&I Managers to negotiate sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, license fees, discounts, and financing or lease requirements.
  • Walk the lot and visually inspect inventory.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and arrange delivery and vehicle registration.
  • Deliver vehicles and familiarize customers with their new purchase.
  • Attend and complete required training and departmental meetings.

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong sales abilities, excellent communication, and superior customer service skills.
  • Organized with thorough follow-up skills to maintain contact with clients before and after sales.
  • Current valid driver's license required.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to speak a second language is a plus.
